Following weeks in which their strike action was halted to return to the negotiations table, nurses are reported now to be “losing patience” over the government’s inability to move forwards on any of its ‘red lines’ regarding the long-standing battle to recover ‘frozen pay and conditions’, Say reports, SINDEPOR (the democratic syndicate of nurses) is considering new forms of industrial action, while the order of nurses has lodged an embargo on the health ministry’s attempt at probing the legalities of the recent ‘surgical strike’ (click here).
The health ministry now has 10 days to appeal against the embargo – but taken generally, the conflict between the government and the nation’s nurses back on the boil.
