Nurses at Braga Hospital stage two-day strike

Nurses at Braga Hospital are striking today and tomorrow (the strike ends at 8pm on Wednesday) over pay precarity, lack of salary progression and the non-payment of arrears dating back to 2018. Various consultations did not take place as a result this morning; some “non-urgent surgeries were also cancelled”, say reports. As well as refusing to work, the striking nurses formed a picket line outside the hospital entrance.
