Carvoeiro’s Escolinha nursery school was the beneficiary of educational toys purchased with funds raised during last November’s Grand Variety Show held in Lagoa.
The show, which featured several local artists, raised over €4,300 in aid of SOS Oncológico, a Lagoa association that helps breast cancer patients, and Centro de Apoio Social de Carvoeiro which runs the school.
Educational toys included a puppet theatre, a drawing board mirror, a ballet rail for toddlers, mini house cleaning items, four play tables, and a computer and sound system.
