New Ministry of Health plans aim to see a “broadening of the current competencies of nurses” as another way of reducing costs in state hospitals.
President of the association of hospital administrators Marta Temido revealed that the changes have been under discussion with the Troika since “at least the fourth revision” of the adjustment plan.
Under the new scheme, yet to be approved, nurses would be allowed to renew prescriptions and order certain tests.
