IN MAY, Riding for the Disabled in the Algarve issued an appeal for people to help the association by becoming members at a cost of 30 euros. The association’s committee were upset to discover, only recently, that post office workers in Almancil had mistakenly closed their Post Office Box Number 3327, 8135 Almancil.
Some mail had been diverted to their old PO Box, which belongs to a member of the association, but they have since learned that other people have sent cheques that have not been cashed. Almancil post office has not disclosed what happened to letters that had no return address on the envelope. So, Riding for the Disabled asks people who have sent cheques that have not been cashed or who have had letters returned to them, to contact the association at the above reopened address or to telephone Rosemary on 964 027 677, Sylvia on 289 413 854 or Sally on 289 397 531.
Riding for the Disabled will have a stall at Almancil’s Car Boot Sale on October 9 (near the Old People’s Centre), selling bric a brac, books, and much more.
