Residents living near the old Vilamoura cinema are up in arms over late-night noise coming from local bars, which have a licence to remain open until 4am. Several formal complaints have been made to various entities, including Loulé Câmara, however no response has been received. According to local residents, bar owners place sound speakers facing the streets to attract customers. Loulé Mayor has admitted that it is difficult to meet the interests of both residents and business owners and calls on the GNR to inspect the establishments and ensure compliance with the noise regulations.
