In a bid to help citizens denounce rowdy gatherings, Lisbon city council has created a ‘noise hotline’ (Linha Ruido), which will be available as of today. The number to dial is 808 910 555. Calls will go straight through to municipal police, who should in theory act on them promptly. Issues with noise have been a scourge for city residents, for years – and as city hall admits, “excessive noise is a factor that can most prejudice people’s sense of well-being”…
