A nine-year-old girl has given birth in western Mexico and the authorities are currently looking for the father’s child, a 17-year-old boy. A local health official believes that the baby’s mother, whose age has not yet been officially confirmed, may be a victim of sexual abuse.
It is reported that the mother only became aware of her pregnancy in the seventh month.
The baby girl was born by caesarian on January 27 and both mother and child were said to be fine and released from the hospital last weekend.
