The Public Ministry announced this week that it has cited nine ‘official suspects’ in the inquiry into the five deaths at a Borba quarry last year (click here).
One of the suspects is a company. The investigation however remains ongoing awaiting further requested documentation.
The relatives of the dead men – killed when a national road subsided into a flooded quarry – have already received a total of €1.6 million in compensation by order of the State.
