Boavista Golf held their annual Nike Pairs Shotgun on July 14.
Once again the annual tournament attracted a field of players, totalling 92, for the 18 hole competition.
First place net went to Sue and Steve Dodds with 43 points, second place to Alan Bell and David Nichols with 42 points and third, again with 42 points, to Gil Weir Jr and Terry German.
In first place gross came Kerry Burr and Mel Stimpson with 32 points.
Nearest the Pin went to Keith Watson, ladies longest drive to Kerry Burr and men’s longest drive to Ricardo Pereira.
Prizes were donated by event sponsors Nike Golf.
To assist the players, Nike provided golf professionals António Sobrinho and José Dias who were on hand during the event.
Golf director Rodrigo Ulrich commented on the excellent quality of play at the tournament and was pleased to see “such a festive mood amongst the players”.
