Six night-time walks planned in July and August

A series of night-time walk/run events will take place in the municipality of Lagoa between July and August.

According to the local council, these are “not competitive events” and aim to encourage local citizens to exercise and improve their health. The council adds that the walks/runs are open to people of all ages and lifestyles.

Participants will be able to choose between a 5km walk itinerary and a 10km running route.

The first event will begin at Lagoa’s municipal pavilion on Wednesday, July 6. Next up will be Porches on July 13 (meet-up at Senhora da Rocha church), Estômbar on July 20 (local church), Parchal on July 27 (Belavista stadium), Ferragudo on August 3 (Rainha D. Leonor square) and Carvoeiro on August 10 (beachside square). All events begin at 8.30pm.

Registrations can be made at the municipality’s sports services and parish councils and unions.
