Night of entertainment to help the Bombeiros

Lagoa Auditorium will come alive on June 20 with a variety of talented artists who will be giving up their time in aid of the Bombeiros.

Among the artists performing are the Lagoa choir Coral Ideas de Levante and The Fit to Dance Studio in Alvor with dancers ranging from four to 18, pianists Pamela Jolly and Sylvia Smeman who will be playing duets of favourite classics and the band The Reel Thing who will have you dancing with lively music along with local singer Tish Luckman who will be joining them for the evening. Also expected are the Philharmonic Band of Paderne who is the oldest band in the Algarve in terms of formation.

There are many prizes to be won in a raffle and you will have the chance to meet some of the Bombeiros volunteers in person.

Compere for the evening will be Ian Carfrae and organiser Jenny Grainer, who said: “The Auditorium will be alive with people ready to entertain you and raise funds for the fantastic men and women who voluntarily give up their time and expertise to save other people’s lives. Go along and enjoy a night of entertainment.”

A container will be available for those wishing to bring along food donations, such as tinned or packaged food and milk, for the needy people living in the Lagoa council.

The auditorium bar will be open from 7.30pm with the Variety Show starting at 8.30pm.
