THE 1920s 10-piece hot dance orchestra, Oo-Boop-I-Do, returned to the Algarve last Friday evening with a concert at the São Brás Museum.
Re-assembled by founding member Ian Carfrae, together with Ed Machado, director of the Filarmonica de Faro, the highest calibre of musicians available in the Algarve have been brought together in this orchestra.
With an international line-up comprising Portuguese, Canadian, Brazilian, Moldavian and English musicians, the orchestra has already had enquiries for parties, concerts and weddings and are looking for hotel residencies and conference bookings.
In England Oo-Boop-I-Do was highly successful, playing on BBC television and radio and appearing in concerts and music festivals throughout the country.
