The popular play, Lights Out by Nicky Morgan, is back. After its success at the Centro da Quinta do Paço, between Algoz and Tunes, where the cast received a standing ovation on both nights, the actors and crew are doing it all again on Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25 at the São Lorenço School, Almancil.

Adding to the good news is the fact that, due to its popularity, Lights Out may be staged in Brighton, UK with a professional cast in the new year.

Nicky wrote the play based on her own experience on a cancer ward. After being successfully treated for ovarian cancer at the age of 30, she realized that her vocation was nursing, a career which she continued until moving to the Algarve in the mid-80s.

Once again produced by John Mountford, assisted by his wife Barbara there is only one change to the original performance: David Butler-Cole, who played the doctor is unable to perform this time around and so Tom Hardy will be taking his place.
