Cascade Resort in Lagos is the venue for June event
Following the success of the first Living in the Algarve seminar event held at the Tivoli Carvoeiro Hotel on April 14, the organisers have now announced a further two dates and venues for this year.
The next event will take place at the Cascade Wellness Resort in Lagos on June 15 and is organised by the Open Media Group, publishers of the Portugal Resident newspaper and Essential Algarve magazine amongst other titles.
The Lagos event is expected to attract strong interest with three well-established local businesses having joined forces with the organisers and event partners.
Drª Maria Alice Pestana, representing Luzdoc and Medilagos, will be speaking on healthcare issues for foreign residents, adding another dimension to the event.
The property side of this event will be in the hands of one of Lagos’ leading names in real estate and tourism, Casas do Barlavento, with CEO and founder Luís Ledo giving a presentation on the local property market.
Helping to promote the event at a local level is Lagos-based community magazine Tomorrow Algarve.
The local partners join Blevins Franks, the Sovereign Group, Rosado Advogados and AFPOP (largest association for foreign residents in Portugal) who also all took part in the Carvoeiro event.
Visitors to the seminar events can expect to come away with a wealth of useful information on all aspects of living in the Algarve. Between them, the panel of speakers has vast hands-on knowledge covering all aspects of Algarve life and, at the end of the presentations, an informal Q&A session is held, after which guests can enjoy tasting some local wines and meeting representatives from the various companies.
Two identical seminar sessions are held at 11am and 3pm and attendance is free of charge requiring pre-registration online.
Another Living in the Algarve event is also confirmed for the Golden Triangle area to be held at the Conrad Algarve Hotel in Quinta do Lago on September 22. Details of this event will be released at a later date but advance bookings can be made on the website.
