THE NEW youth hostel in Aljezur will open to the public in August 2007. Situated next to the beach at Arrifana, on the west coast of the Algarve, the hostel will offer surfers, body boarders, windsurfers, and all other beach goers attracted to Arrifana beach for its excellent surfing conditions, a safe place to stay.
Five of the 11 bedrooms will have private bathrooms, and the two floors will house a communal kitchen, laundry room, bar, social room, café, dining hall as well as internet access points for all guests.
Due to the amount of watersport enthusiasts expected to use the hostel, there will be a designated space to keep surf, body and kite surfing boards and equipment, as well as an area especially prepared to receive guests on wheelchairs.
