GOOD LUCK to all runners taking part in the New York City marathon on Sunday, November 5, in the big apple.
Eddy, Amanda and Shirley, members of Sue’s Road Runners will be there and have been collecting sponsor money for MACS a UK based charity supporting children born without and partially developed eyes. The charity supported in Portugal is the Algarve based children’s charity ACCA, which helps underprivileged children across the Algarve.
Donations, in any form and any amount, would be greatly appreciated and can be sent to Apartado 31, Alcantarilha, 8365-908 Algarve, Portugal, make cheques payable to Shirley Emilio. The final amount will be split between the two charities. When sending donations please include an e-mail and mailing address.
The Resident’s Ruth Sharpe, will also be taking part in the marathon and has raised 2,400 pounds sterling for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
