Two British residents, Diane Kelly and Julie Adcock, have joined forces to establish a new online bargain store, www.dijuonline.com, which was launched in June.
The website is an online second-hand store which is designed for people to shop, sell and save.
The aim is to provide customers who are keen to acquire quality previously used items at bargain prices.
The two friends both live in the São Brás de Alportel area. Diane originally had the idea for the website and after meeting Julie it soon became a reality.
Their initial idea was to work with the hotels in the Algarve region and build a trading relationship within this group.
Dijuonline.com enables the hotels to recycle previously used or unwanted items after a refurbishment or upgrade.
However, the website became popular with individuals who wish to buy or sell items, so the website is now available to everyone.
