The iconic Casa Velha restaurant returns with a new concept
The oldest restaurant in Quinta do Lago reopens its doors with a new story to tell with the usual excellence. After a break to work on new creations and explore new flavours and ideas, Casa Velha is now focusing on a more typically Portuguese menu with dishes to share featuring authentic and sophisticated food with the traditional flavours of our distinct culture and wines.
On the menu you can find various starters, with a range of Portuguese cheeses and a selection of typical charcuterie, as well as salads of your choice. For main courses you can choose from dishes that come from the land, the sea or the garden.
The menu includes dishes such as Duck Rice Croquettes, Barbecue Chicken Supreme, Codfish, Spicy Prawn Xerém (corn flour porridge), and much more. The resort’s Quinta Farm organic vegetable garden has also inspired some culinary options such as Peixinhos da Horta (deep-fired green beans) and the Broad Bean Fricassé. Some of the dishes on the menu have vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free options. There are also typical Portuguese desserts such as rice pudding and the classic pastel de nata.
