Monte Gordo fishermen received a new tractor on Monday to assist them in their activities. The purchase of the new vehicle was made by the local fishermen’s association (Associação de Pescadores da Pesca Artesanal da Baía de Monte Gordo) following an application for funds through PROMAR, the operational programme for fisheries development. The total investment amounted to the tune of €78,000. There are also plans to purchase a beach cleaning machine and renovate the fish auction building.
