A new megaoperation linked to the PJ investigation into Hells Angels activity in Portugal got underway on Tuesday, seeing another 17 arrests in the north, Lisbon and the Algarve. The probe opened last summer and is focused on “especially violent, highly organised crime”. A total of 38 of 59 people rounded up in 2018 are still in preventive custody (one of them in Germany) as the investigation continues.

Likely charges range from “the practice of crimes associated with organised crime”, attempted murder, robbery, GBH, possession of prohibited weapons and drug trafficking.
Say reports, the Hells Angels group has existed in Portugal since 2002. Police have been ‘monitoring’ the activity of members ever since.
