New Sunday school

A new Sunday school for children over the age of six, or under six but accompanied by an adult, has been launched at Luz church.

The Kid’s Zone is aimed directly at children and will be a high energy club including music.

Father Haynes Hubbard said: “For too long our Sunday school has been a way to keep the kids entertained while the adults worship in the church. It worked and it was good but we knew it wasn’t good enough and weren’t sure what we could do about it, until now!”

He added: “This is a chance for children to be able to experience something good, fun and joyful while also being a place where they grow into their spirits”

The Saint Vincent’s Chaplaincy also runs a kids club for children on Wednesday afternoons at the Barlavento School, and a youth club for secondary school children up to the age of 16 on Friday evenings in Burgau.

The Kid’s Zone will be held every Sunday from midday at Luz church.  For further information please call 282 789 660 or 282 788 181.
