The municipal day on September 7 was celebrated with the opening of a new sports complex and a new gym at the Faro market.
The management of the gym was handed over to the Algarve Judo Club.
The sports complex will be run by the municipality and used by 15 local associations for sports such as gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, indoor football ‘futsal’, table tennis, combat sports, and dancing, among others.
It is equipped with a sports area, a storeroom for sporting equipment, six changing rooms for athletes and two for referees, a permanent stand capable of seating 500 people, a movable stand for 400 people and a bar.
