New shopping centre opens in Portimão

Aqua Portimão shopping centre was due to officially open its doors yesterday (Thursday).

The centre covers 35,500 square metres and will have 132 stores and more than 20 restaurants spread over three floors plus 1,800 underground parking spaces.

The shopping centre includes a Primark and an H&M store, a Jumbo supermarket and clothing and accessories stores such as Blanco, Bershka, Centroxogo, Loja do Gato Preto, Pull & Bear and Seaside.

The Primark store will be one of the anchor shops at Aqua Portimão, occupying more than 3,000 square metres and employing 196 staff. The shopping centre represents an investment of €106 million and is jointly owned by Klépierre and Generali Immobiliare.

It was designed by Atelier Sua Kay Architects and was then developed and constructed by Bouygues Imobiliária.

Aqua Portimão shopping centre will be open Sunday to Thursday from 10am to 11pm and Fridays, Saturdays and days before holidays from 10am to midnight.
