New rules for funerals

After almost a year in which funerals were allowed to go ahead with open caskets (if relatives so requested) DGS health chiefs have issued new rules to the effect that this can no longer be allowed. Caskets from henceforth must be closed, albeit the State health authority recognises there has been no evidence to date of contagion or infection through exposure to bodies of people who have died Covid positive.
