New project

ALAMEDA BRANCH of the Portuguese Social Security service has become the first in the country to have a special area exclusively dedicated to disabled people.

The pioneering project, in one of the main streets of Alameda, Lisbon, was developed by Portugal Telecom (PT) and the Social Security and provides three ways of accessing its services: on-site, by telephone and through the Internet.

To implement the system, PT is creating a special website and a call centre to work exclusively for the disabled community.
