Silves Câmara has signed a 22-year lease for the use of Armação de Pêra fortress, which will be refurbished and converted into a museum.
According to Silves Câmara, the space will be used to house a tourist information office, a small reception area and an exhibition room of around 135sqm.
Around 200,000 euros will be invested by the Câmara to renovate the building inside and out before opening an exhibition about the history of Armação de Pêra.
