Portugal’s health professionals, patients and unions in the sector are to take part in three separate marches on Saturday, “in defence of the national health service (SNS)” an initiative its promoters believe will have a “large turnout (…) From our point of view, the SNS, if nothing is done, runs the risk of imploding”, the coordinator of the Public Service Unions Federation (FNSTFPS) – one of several organisations promoting the marches – has told Lusa news agency. The marches will take place in Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra.
