A protocol has been signed between Tavira Câmara and three other entities to carry out refurbishment of several buildings in the city’s historical centre and riverside area.
A total of 60 per cent of this project, estimated to cost more than 2.2 million euros, will be funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Included are plans to renovate the Nossa Senhora das Ondas and Misericórdia churches and the water museum.
The project is due to be completed by August 2011.
