British Airways (BA) inaugurated a new route London City – Faro service on June 7.
Luke Hayhoe, Commercial General Director of BA, said: “There has been a huge demand for destinations associated with the sun and beach from London City Airport, which led us to increase the number of summer flight destinations.
“However, there is still a strong demand for holiday destinations throughout the year so we chose Faro due to its temperate climate and leisure activities that it has to offer.”
London City – Faro will be the second British Airways route to Faro and represents a supply of approximately 12,000 seats. Including London Gatwick and London City, BA now provides 143,000 seats to Faro in 2011.
The new service will operate three flights a week.
