New international school to open in Tavira

A new international school is scheduled to open in September in Tavira.

The Colégio Santiago Internacional is a private national and international education school for children of all nationalities aged between three and 16.

Colégio Santiago Internacional will cover four different stages of the Portuguese Curriculum: Foundation, 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles. The Curriculum will be taught in two languages, Portuguese and English. It will also have a mathematics and science specialisation.

In a statement sent to the Algarve Resident, the school aims to respond to the “current needs of an open Europe and an increasingly globalised world”. “This school gives its students the opportunity to have an education of excellence to better cope with an increasingly tight labour market. It also offers excellent quality/value to parents.”

The Colégio Santiago International believes that all students are unique individuals with different abilities and needs. “We believe in a personalised education, offering a differentiated curriculum, effective and rigorous, to develop, enhance and maximise all potential,” the statement continued.

The Colégio Santiago International will be open from 8am to 7pm with curricular and extra-curricular activities and from 7pm to 11pm for adult education, training and various courses.

For more information about the Colégio please visit www.csi-tavira.com or its offices, open from 9am to 6pm, on Rua Poeta Isidoro Pires nº5 (beside the main entrance to the CSi) or by email [email protected].
