New hotel near airport

A three-star hotel is to be built near Faro Airport by Portuguese holding company Tavfer.

At a ceremony attended by Faro Mayor Macário Correia, Tavfer project manager Tavares Fernando Pereira said work will start within a few weeks with the hotel, which represents an investment of €7 million, expected to be completed by 2013.

The three-storey hotel will be located next to the Ria Formosa natural park and have 98 rooms, a restaurant, two auditoriums, shops, a fitness centre, spa and outdoor swimming pool.
