A four-star hotel unit has opened in Monte Gordo.
The new hotel has 64 apartments and 22 rooms, and includes a restaurant, bar, spa, pool and meeting room.
“The new accommodation facility will allow us to attract more tourists to Monte Gordo. This represents an extremely important investment in the area as tourism is a major driver of development and employability in the region,” said Vila Real de Santo António Mayor Luís Gomes, who added that he would also like to see a five-star hotel unit built in the council: “We want to offer the best to our visitors and thus attract more people to the council.”
The new hotel has created 30 jobs.
