The name of the company that will be responsible for building, equipping and maintaining the new Algarve Central Hospital will be announced by the end of the year.
The Health Ministry has already selected two companies from several applications that will be competing for the post.
Algarve. Saúde and Teixeira Duarte have to present a final proposal, including a financial report for the hospital project, which represents an investment of 250 million euros.
Construction of the Algarve Central Hospital, to be located at the Parque das Cidades in Faro, is expected to be concluded in May 2012.
