An association set up by Carvoeiro business owners and residents has now been officially registered as well as opening a dedicated office in the town centre.
The association, now officially named Vozesintensas Associação Comerciantes (intense voices business people’s association) aims to represent, defend and promote the common interests of its members, in order to contribute to the development of the local businesses and economy (see the Algarve Resident edition April 8, 2010).
Graça Novo, President of the association, said: “we would like to thank the council for cooperating with the new association so far.”
She added: “They have proved that they are open to listen to our suggestions and have already made some changes such as allowing parking for touristic buss in a new area that is more convenient to all.”
The association’s next meeting will take place on October 21 at 6pm at the new headquarters, which are located at nº11 Beco do Galeão, where Carvoeiro’s Parish council used to be located.
“New members are very welcome and anyone who would like to know more about the association,” said Graça Novo.
