New fitness team, new facilities

TWO NEW fitness professionals are joining the team at Barringtons in Vale do Lobo this month.

Kris Wilson, who has 21 years’ experience in the industry, will be Barringtons Fitness Controller. He has been an international master trainer for fitness professionals in the UK and has led fitness demonstrations worldwide.

He is also regarded as one of the top children’s activity specialists in the world, has a black belt in martial arts, studied Muay Thai boxing in Thailand, played for the London Broncos in rugby league and is a qualified sports physiotherapist. Kris will be teaching Bodypump, Bodyattack, Bodybalance and Bodyjam, as well as other freestyle classes.

Cara Wilson, a world champion professional Latin dancer, joins Barringtons as Studio Manager.

Professional

Having trained as a personal trainer as well, Cara was asked to be one of the professional dancers on the popular BBC television show Strictly Come Dancing.

As a mother of two, Cara knows about the struggle it can be to get back to a pre-pregnancy body and sees pre and post natal classes and mother and baby classes as part of her new role. Cara will also be offering Pilates and all body training systems.

Marcio Charneco, who has been with Barringtons for three years, takes overall responsibility for the new gym.

“These three senior managers add a new dimension to the overall health and fitness programmes here,” says Graham Stewart, General Manager. “We offer a second to none operation with something for everyone, whatever their level of fitness, age, ability and aptitude. We have the best team of enthusiastic, qualified, fun and caring fitness professionals around and will be holding a number of free open days in March so potential new members can try out everything.”
