A contemporary and comfortable atmosphere can be found at Island Café in Sesmarias, near Lagoa, where they have recently changed their menu and service with freshly prepared Belgian/French style cuisine.
The restaurant, open daily from 11am until midnight, is run by chef Peter Verelst, who bought Island Café in January 2010.
Family-friendly during the day and serving a range of culinary delights including light snacks and salads, they are now able to offer an ideal destination for fine dining in the evenings with an extensive list of wines and champagnes.
There is also room at the bar for social butterflies. Current specials include a two-course lunch menu for €13.50 and a three-course evening menu for €28.
Over the Christmas and New Year period, there will also be special seasonal menus on offer.
Island Café welcome new and regular guests to their new improved restaurant. There is ample parking and outdoor seating, featuring a big terrace with a garden.
