New fair showcases Algarve in Lisbon

LISBON’S PAVILHÃO Atlântico will host Algarve Convida (Algarve Invites), the first fair dedicated exclusively to promoting the region as a holiday destination, in April.

This is the first event of its kind directed at the internal market and is being promoted by Região Turismo do Algarve (RTA), the Algarve Tourism Board, in partnership with various local councils, associations, travel agencies, hotels, resorts and leisure facilities. The objective is to promote the Algarve’s existing tourism offer and facilitate the direct sale of holidays to the Portuguese market.

The fair will provide the general public with the opportunity of booking their summer holidays a little earlier, while giving exhibitors the chance to raise their profile, make personalised contact with potential clients and other national operators. As well as the main exhibition, there will be an area dedicated to Algarvean cuisine, as well as non-stop entertainment.

Algarve Convida takes place over the weekend of April 8 and 9 in Sala Tejo at Pavilhão Atlântico, Parque das Nações, in Lisbon, from 11am until 11pm on Saturday and from 11am until 9pm on Sunday. Entrance is free.
