José Luiz Moreira has accepted the challenge of leading the management team at the Lisbon Corinthia Alpha Hotel as the new general director. His main target is to put the 517-room hotel at the top of the list of the best five-star hotels in the corporate market. Moreira has vast experience in the hotel business, having worked as general director for Penha Longa Hotel & Golf Resort and regional director for the Crown Plaza chain of hotels in the US and Brazil.
Cristina Duarte is the new assistant director of sales. She has been working at the hotel since 1995 and has a degree in hotel management. Her previous roles at the hotel have included that of sales promoter and congress co-ordinator.
