“New experiences” promised as Conrad Algarve prepares to reopen on Monday

Conrad Algarve in Quinta do Lago is preparing to reopen on Monday (April 26) with “new experiences which promise a relaxed and memorable stay in the south of Portugal”.

“At a time when the days are getting longer and warmer, Conrad Algarve is, without a doubt, the perfect refuge for a long weekend or hard-earned holiday,” the resort says.

Among the “new experiences” on offer is a new jacuzzi located on the resort’s Roof Garden. It is described as the “perfect choice to relax with a privileged view to the mountains.

“And because now, more than ever, it is essential to keep our minds and bodies sane, the Conrad Spa Algarve is ready to reopen, as soon as it is allowed, with a new signature interior decoration and new treatments,” the resort has announced.

The Spa’s hydrothermal area has been renovated and now boasts an “even more relaxing” Turkish bath and chromotherapy experience.

Also available are new face and body treatments courtesy of 111SKIN, a luxury cosmetic product and non-invasive therapy brand. Its “revolutionary concept”, created by Dr Yannis Alexandrides, can only be found in Portugal at Conrad Spa Algarve,” the resort says.

But there’s still more to discover at Conrad Algarve, which describes itself as a “gastronomic destination of excellence”.

Monday (April 26) will mark the reopening of its Louro restaurant, where Chef Osvalde Silva strives to use his talent and creativity to reinvent some of Portugal’s most traditional flavours.

Among the main novelties for this year are two new “gastronomic pop-up concepts”: a brasserie concept, available at Lago Lounge, and an “experience of genuine Atlantic Ocean and Ria Formosa flavours in a pop-up grill format”.

Last but not least, the Michelin-starred Gusto by Heinz Beck, famous for its “innovative culinary experiences”, is scheduled to reopen on May 7.

Guests can rest assured that their safety is taken seriously as Conrad Algarve holds the ‘Clean & Safe’ seal attributed by the national tourism authority Turismo de Portugal and also follows the Hilton Cleanstay programme.

Katharina Schlaipfer, general manager at Conrad Algarve, said: “We are delighted to once again welcome our guests to this luxury contemporary refuge in Quinta do Lago. Our team is enthusiastic about providing a safe and unforgettable stay, be it through our authentic experiences and personalised services, or through the discovery of the wonderful surrounding Ria Formosa and the fantastic golden sand beaches.

“The hygiene and safety of our guests are our main concern, which is why we have implemented the demanding disinfection programme Hilton Cleanstay.”

Conrad Algarve is located in the prestigious Quinta do Lago resort and is surrounded by 2,000 hectares of idyllic landscapes of the Ria Formosa Natural Park.

Spread out across six floors, its 154 rooms and suites provide a “high level of comfort and the latest technology”.

Meanwhile, its six bars and restaurants offer innovative culinary experiences, most notably Gusto by Heinz Beck – described as one of the most “vibrant haute cuisine restaurants in the Algarve”.

The resort also boasts a kids club called Little C Palace, five pools, and a beach concession located just five minutes away from the hotel with a free seasonal transport service.

Conrad Algarve accepts reservations by telephone (+351 289 350 762) and online (www.conradalgarve.com).
