It may not be one of the most visible signs of support for Portugal’s Olympic hopefuls, but it is the way the Bank of Portugal has opted to wish national athletes ‘good luck’ in the upcoming games this summer in Brazil.
The new limited edition €2 coin will enter circulation in May, with a filigree heart designed by artist Joana Vasconcelos and the words “Olympic Team of Portugal 2016”.
