A new Covid-19 drive-through testing centre has opened in Faro.
Located on Avenida Cidade de Hayward which links the town hospital’s roundabouts to the Pena sports complex, the testing centre was set up as part of a partnership involving Synlab, Hospital de Loulé and Faro Council.
Says Synlab, the testing centre allows citizens to undergo a PCR test “swiftly, comfortably and safely without having to get out of their car.”
The centre is open between 10am and 5pm on weekdays and 9am and 1pm on Saturdays.
Anyone can schedule their test (€101) by contacting Synlab directly. The centre is also awaiting approval to begin testing for patients with a prescription from the national health service (SNS).
Test results are usually received within 24 to 48 hours.
