ORGANISERS OF Rock in Rio-Lisboa 2008 have announced new dates in order to include a gig by Metallica.
The new dates are May 30, 31 and June 1 for the first weekend and June 5 and 6 for the second weekend.
Metallica will be playing on June 5 and join other headline acts already confirmed, including Lenny Kravitz, Machine Head, Ivete Sangalo, and Alejandro Sanz.
The Rock in Rio project started in 1985 in Rio de Janeiro as one of the biggest music events in the world. It travelled to Portugal in 2004 and this year sees the third edition in the country. The eventis held every two years.
