AN IMMIGRANT integration and support centre was opened in Lagos on January 27.
The Centro Local de Apoio e Integração do Imigrante, which is the seventh to be opened in the Algarve, was inaugurated by câmara president, Julio Barroso and the High Commissioner for Immigration and Ethnic Minorities, Luís Pascoal.
On the day, an agreement was signed between the immigration authority and the câmara, which promised to provide assistance and support to immigrants in the Lagos area.
The centres in the Algarve are in Faro (289 872 345), Lagos (282 799 109), Portimão (282 480 361), São Brás de Alportel (289 840 020), Silves (282 440 800), Tavira (281 324 279) and Vila Real de Santo António (281 541 827).
