CARRIAGE DRIVING, a sport that has recently enjoyed a great revival in popularity, is now available in the Algarve.
The New Forest Lodge Carriage Driving and Equestrian Centre, based at Espinhaço de Cão, north of Lagos and run by the Fry family, is now open.
Local riders and drivers may chose from a range of options, from a one hour introductory drive to a course of lessons to obtain a certificate of competence. A members club has already been started for both local carriage driving enthusiasts and those interested in taking up the sport and, regular club days are to be held where members can learn new skills.
