New Care home

Construction of the Ameixial old people’s home in the Loulé council received the green light at a Municipal Assembly meeting last Friday. The project, in cooperation with the Ameixial Casa do Povo, represents an investment of more than €1 million, subsidised by Loulé Câmara (€470,640.97), the Social Security (€516,439.20) and the Casa do Povo association. The home, to be built on câmara owned land, will have the capacity to accommodate 30 residents. Two further old people’s homes are being built in Benafim and Tôr, also in the Loulé municipality.
