Currency exchange and international payments company Currencies Direct has recently welcomed a new member to the Portugal team. José Almeida has taken up the role of business development manager for the branchin Almancil, and will be using his previous 17 years’ experience in overseas customer service roles to help promote the business both locally and nationally.
José Almeida told the Algarve Resident: “I am really looking forward to the challenge of working in the foreign exchange industry and help our local team, Sharon and Caroline, to both continue offering an excellent service to our existing clients as well as to increase that client base.
“As the first independent foreign exchange company outside the banking world, Currencies Direct is the market leader in this service industry and I am proud to be part of this business, which ultimately helps people to make the most of their hard-earnedcash.”
José Almeida says his goal is for the Algarve office to offer the “highest level” of service to its clients whilst saving them money on all currency transfers, whether it’s sending it overseas or back to the UK.
“We welcome all clients, either existing or new, to give us a call and see how we can save themmoney on any transaction;from selling or buyinga property to receiving a monthly pension,” he said.
