The new VAMUS 55 line starts operating on October 3rd to meet the needs of Almancil, Quarteira and Vilamoura residents.
VAMUS – Transportes do Algarve is launching its new 55 bus line, connecting Almancil, Quarteira and Vilamoura to Faro Airport and the University of the Algarve’s (UAlg) Gambelas campus on Monday, October 3rd.
The line was created to support the numerous passengers residing in the Loulé municipality looking for a direct line to the Airport and/or the University.
This new 55 line comes to complement the 69 line between Olhão and UAlg Gambelas, the 118 line connecting Loulé to Faro Airport (via UAlg) and the 56 Aerobus from Lagos to the Airport (via Portimão, Lagoa and Albufeira).
Bus passes are available for students. The monthly sub23 pass for scholarship holders residing in Vilamoura or Quarteira costs €19.50; for those in Almancil, the price is €13.05. The costs for young people who do not have a scholarship are €36.55 and €24.50, respectively.
Tickets can be purchased through the app and at all points of sale. Tariffs and timetables are available on the VAMUS website and the app.
