LIFEGUARD AND first aid posts on the beach at Manta Rosa, in Vila Real de Santo António, were demolished last Friday as part of a project to revamp the area.
Luís Gomes, president of the câmara, said that construction would soon begin on creating a central square that will form part of a leisure area, including two car parks, six walkways and new facilities for swimmers and bathers. He said he expected the work to be completed before the summer.
