After moving to Carvoeiro full time, Arvid and Nelleke Evers are expanding their property management business.
Recently, Inside met with the Dutch family behind Amarante Villas to learn of their expansion plans and meet some of the new team. “Our (family) business will expand a little more in the coming months. Yorick Evers (19) is helping out in all areas, from assisting guests during the busy summer months and attending to all kinds of requests for our rental guests, such as grocery shopping before their arrival, offering advice about things to do in the area etc.,” co-owner Nelleke told us.
“We will welcome 24-year-old Wietske van Boven to join us on an internship following her graduation in Communication in the Netherlands, and we will no doubt learn a lot about new and exciting ways to market our business. Wietske will be creating newsletters and coming up with new ideas for marketing, and we are sure that she will be an asset to our team!”
Being parents themselves, Arvid and Nelleke know the value of nurturing young talent and are happy to have Wietske with them. December will see the daughter of the couple Nadine van Voorthuijsen (25) and son in law Sjoerd van Voorthuijsen (27) joining the team. They will make the move to the Algarve with their two small children and bring with them.
Sjoerd’s technical and people skills will play an essential part in the villa management together with Gaby. Nadine already knows the company from the start in 2008, her holiday jobs were in-house, of course! Now she has a university degree in human resources as well and has worked in the field over the last five years. Her main priority will be the management of Vale a Pena boutique resort near Carvoeiro Clube de Ténis. Vale a Pena is comprised of 10 rental apartments that are decorated in a light and modern beach theme with a central pool and communal bar/games room. It’s the perfect place for weddings, groups, retreats, or just weekly rentals and family get-togethers.
